Milltown man airlifted from scene of chain reaction collision Two passengers in car of three vehicle collision in construction zone nine miles south of Campbellsville on KY 55 also injured, treated at Taylor County Regional Hospital. Followup to earlier story by Larry Smith: KY 55 shut down in Taylor Co. to clear multi-vehicle collision From Larry Smith, FM 92.7 the WAVE and FM 99.9 the Big Dawg Compiled from Taylor County Sheriff's Office report Taylor County Deputy Sheriff Branden Wilson investigated a chain reaction, three vehicle injury accident with occurred at approximately 3pmET, Wednesday, January 21, 2015, on Highway 55 South, New Columbia Road, about nine miles south of Campbellsville. According to the TCSO, Christopher Richardson, 30, of Campbellsville, Ky, was travelling north in a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta, and entered a construction zone where vehicles were stopped in traffic and struck a 2006 Pontiac G6 driven by Tim Beard, 47, of Milltown Road, Columbia, KY. The impact caused the Pontiac G6 to strike a 2012 Ford van driven by Christopher J. Gabbert, 30, of Campbellsville, KY, which was also stopped in traffic. The driver of the middle vehicle, Tim Beard, was airlifted from the scene by Air Evac to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of injuries received in the accident. Two passengers in the Beard vehicle, 44 year old Catherine Beard and 2 year old Ian Cross, were transported to Taylor Regional Hospital for minor injuries. Deputy Branden Wilson was assisted on the scene by CTCEMS, CTC Rescue, and Taylor County Fire Department.
