BOWLING GREEN, KY - Multiple Mid-South Conference championships are headed to Bowling Green beginning in February 2015, conference officials announced on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.

The Mid-South Conference includes nine full members and six associate members in six states, including Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. The coordinating efforts of several athletic facilities and community sponsorships helped bring the Mid-South Conference to Bowling Green,. KY.

"We're confident that Bowling Green and Warren County will offer our student-athletes and coaches a first-class championship experience with outstanding facilities, hotels, restaurants and amenities, not to mention exceptional hospitality," Eric Ward, Mid-South Conference Commissioner, said.

In 2015, Bowling Green will be hosting 11 conference tournaments along with athletic administration meetings for over 1,200 conference participants.

Bowling Green will host Mid-South men's and women's bowling in February at Southern Lanes, tennis at Kereiakes Park, baseball at Bowling Green Ballpark and softball at Michael O. Buchanon Park in April, cross country at Phil Moore Park, and soccer at Lovers Lane Soccer Complex with additional tournaments still in negotiations.

"Bowling Green is very excited to host the Mid-South Conference championships," Amy Cardwell, Sports Sales Director at the Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau said. "The top-notch amenities and overall atmosphere, combined with the city's central location, help make Bowling Green a great fit for this conference."

Hosting these championships will bring a heavy economic impact to Bowling Green and Warren County.

In addition to the conference tournaments, Bowling Green will serve as the host for an annual meeting of the university presidents, quarterly athletic director meetings and a summer meeting with coaches and athletic department personnel.
