KANSAS CITY, MO - Campbellsville University was voted the unanimous No. 1 in the latest NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll with all 10 first-place votes, the national office announced Tuesday, January 20, 2015.

The Tigers (19-1, 6-0 MSC) top the national ranking for the third consecutive week and the fourth consecutive week ranked in the top two. It is also the third consecutive week both the Campbellsville men's and women's program (18-1, 4-1 MSC) are ranked in their respective Top 3 - the only NAIA or NCAA institution currently to have both programs ranked as high.

"We are happy to be where we are right now, but we have a lot of things that we need to improve upon. I still don't think we have done a very good job of handling the ranking, so far," CU head coach Keith Adkins said. "Don't get me wrong, we have continued to work hard, and I don't see any complacency in our approach. But, I think we have played trying to protect the ranking and afraid to lose that spot. We have to forget about where anyone is ranked and go back to being aggressive and having fun and letting everything else take care of itself. We have to play a lot looser than we have recently."

CU leads a group of four MSC teams ranked in the Top 25. Third-ranked University of Pikeville (18-1), No. 17 Georgetown and No. 24 University of the Cumberlands each moved up one spot from last week's ranking. Pikeville is riding a 12-game win streak since losing to Campbellsville on November 22, 2015.

So far this season, Campbellsville is 5-1 against NAIA DI teams ranked at the time of the game with wins over No. 2 Pikeville, No. 4 Benedictine (KS), No. 19 Philander Smith (AR), No. 20 Evangel (MO) and No. 25 Cumberlands (Williamsburg, KY). CU is also 3-0 against ranked teams from other divisions: NAIA DII No. 8 Robert Morris (IL) NAIA DII No. 24 St. Thomas (Fla.) and NCCAA DII No. 1 Ohio Christian University. CU's only loss was November 15, 2015 at No. 4 Benedictine (KS).
