ACHS GRIT Team. Video: Shoes for H.O.P.E. Drive The ACHS GRIT Team (Goal Driven, Resilient, Influential Teens-GRIT) is partnering with Mr. Campbell and the Athletic Department at Adair County High School in the Shoes for H.O.P.E. Drive. You can learn more about this project at http://vimeo.com/69276501. This is an an excellent opportunity for the ACHS family and community to give back and make a difference to people all over the world, and even in our own state of KY, who may not have shoes. The drive will kick off on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Adair vs. Metcalfe County Homecoming ballgame. Discounted admission will be offered to anyone who donates shoes at the game. You will receive $1 dollar off of admission or each pair of shoes that you donate. Five pairs of shoes equals free admission. Shoes do not have to be new. The can be in any condition and will be refurbished. We invite anyone who would like to donate shoes, or who would like to be a partner with us on this drive, to please contact Robin Loy or Brent Campbell at Adair County High School, 270-384-2751 or by e-mail at robin.loy@adair.kyschools.us or brent.campbell@adair.kyschools.us. The ACHS student GRIT team is tasked with helping to spread the word about The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Leader in Me which has come to our school through the Race to the Top-District grant. Community service was identified as a big goal by the student GRIT team and we are excited to get started on this project. This drive will run for the next 60 days. Please consider donating your shoes. This story was posted on 2015-01-16 07:41:17
