Dana Nunnally Sympson, Metcalfe Co., KY (1932-2015) She was a member of the Summer Shade Christian Church. Prior to becoming ill, she was active in her church and the adult Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Metcalfe County Homemakers and enjoyed working in the real estate business. She had also worked as an aide at Summer Shade Elementary School. She and her late husband lived in Beaumont and worked in Metcalfe County until 1973. At that time they moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana, where Mr. Sympson worked for several years in the industrial field. The family remained there until retirement at which time they returned to their native Metcalfe County, where the couple lived until the death of Mr. Sympson. At that time Mrs. Sympson moved to Glasgow. She especially loved traveling with friends and sharing time with her family. Dana Nunnally Sympson, age 82, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Barren County Health Care Center following an extended illness. Funeral services will be Friday, January 16, 2015, at 11amCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Brother Bob Priest officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and on Friday after 7amCT until time of services. Born March 24, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Pauline Hodges Nunnally. She died Tuesday, January 13, 2014, at the age of 82 years, nine months, and 20 days. She was the widow of the late Robert E. Sympson. She was a member of the Summer Shade Christian Church. Prior to becoming ill, she was active in her church and the adult Sunday School Class.
