Thru Semi Traffic Still Allowed?

About: Semi takes out lamp standard, Burkesville at the Square

Charles Marshburn writes:
I thought something was in the works to use the bypass. Who pays for the pole and trash receptacle? - Charles Marshburn
Thanks, Mr. Marshburn - Hadn't thought of those questions. Good ones though.

And I guess someone will ask about the absolutely necessary time for Columbia Police Department to protect the area. Will the semi owner pay that? As for use of the Bypass - Ask yourself what you would do, if you were a semi driver, and knew that the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement is likely to be on the bypass, and not likely to be in Downtown? Or if signage is poor, and the likelihood of a penalty is low coming straight through town, saving mileage, and having ahead of steam to ascend Grider Pass, wouldn't the better option be to come through town? - CM
