Joe Edward Dubree, Clarkson, KY (1938-2015)

He was a native of Kino, KY, spent his early years in Monroe County, KY, and was a resident of Clarkson, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Arthur and Lola Wallace Dubree and the widower of the late Rebecca Hammer Dubree. He leaves 22 directe and three step living descendants. He was a retired electrician, and a member of the Clarkson Church of Christ.

Joe Edward Dubree, age 76, of Clarkson, Ky., died Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Hospice House in Bowling Green.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 12, 2015 at 1pmCT, at McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Brother Jack Ray, officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Visitation will be 2pm-6pmCT, Sunday, January 11, 2015 and on Monday January 12, 2015 from 7amCT until time of services at the funeral home.



Joe Edward Dubree, Clarkson, KY (1938-2015)


Born May 19, 1938 in Kino, he spent his early years in Monroe County, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Arthur and Lola Wallace Dubree and the husband of the late Rebecca Hammer Dubree. He died Thursday, January 8, 2015, in Bowling Green, Warren County,KY, at the age of 76 years, seven months, and 20 days.

He was a retired electrician, and a member of the Clarkson Church of Christ.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Michael Joe (Karen) Dubree, Shepherdsville, KY; and Darrell (Lori) Dubree, Bowling Green, KY

  • Two sisters: Joyce (Charles) Hammer, and Gladis (Bobby) Riddle both of Greenwood, IN

  • One half brother: Bedford Dubree, Ohio

  • Four grandchildren: Haley (Andrew) Gott, Nickolas Dubree, Kristi (David) Minor and Paul (Jenny) Dubree

  • Three step grandchildren: Christine Wethington, Paul Myrick and Nancy Prather

  • Sixteen great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Big Reedy Christian Camp or Foundation Christian Academy in Bowling Green.
