Alma Lou Sayers, of Bethelridge, KY, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, KY. She was 65.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the Mintonville United Methodist Church with Bro. Darrell Vance and Bro. David Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Mintonville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on Saturday, January 3, 2014, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and from 10am/11amET until time of services on Sunday at the Church.



Alma Lou Sayers, Casey County, KY (1949-2015)

Born July 29, 1949, in Casey Co., KY, she was a daughter of the late Almond "Shorty" Withers and Vertis Wesley Withers.She died Thursday, January 4, 2015 in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 65 years, five months, and six days.

Mrs. Sayers was a retired Teacher’s Aide for the Phelps and Phillips Elementary Schools and the Casey County Middle School. She was a former employee of Liberty Sportswear and Russell County Sportswear. Mrs. Sayers was an active member of the Mintonville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Sayers of Bethelridge, KY, and the following:
  • Brothers: James Estil Withers of the Philippines and Roger Withers of Liberty, KY

  • Nieces: Kimberly Johnson of Windsor, Jennifer Weddle of Windsor, and Delecia Sayers of Science Hill, KY

  • Nephew: David Junior Sayers

  • Special friend: Jan (Kymber) Lamers of Bowling Green, KY

  • and eight great nieces and great nephews
Arrangements are entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, in charge of arrangements.
