Russell Countian dies of shotgun shooting Russell County, KY, homicide investigation ongoing. 34 year old man dead of shotgun wound. 19 year old arrested. Charge alleges murder. He's lodged in Russell County Detention Center Click on headline f or complete story By TFC William Gregory, Public Information Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY - Post 15 received a call from Russell County dispatch at approximately 3:49amCT, this morning, Saturday, December 27, 2014, in reference to a shooting that occurred at 4248 KY Hwy. 92 where 34-year-old Jason Adam Willis lived. Willis had become involved in a verbal argument with his neighbor, 19-year-old Trevor Robertson of Lot 1 Sunset Loop, Russell Springs, KY. At some point during the argument, Robertson retrieved a shotgun from his residence and shot at Willis, striking him in the upper torso. Willis was pronounced dead at the scene. Robertson was arrested, charged with Murder and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing. No additional details are available at this time.
