He was a native of LaRue County, KY, and a resident of Green County, KY, at the time of his death. His wife, ruth Ann Despain Warren, survives. He leaves 10 direct living descendants. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a sawmill worker.

Joe Thomas Warren departed this life Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill in Greensburg, KY. He was 84.

The funeral service will be at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, at 1pmCT, Friday, December 19, 2014, with Bro. Mike Woodrum officiating. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Thursday, December 18, 2014 and after 7amCT, Friday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home. Interment will be in Jones Cemetery, Green County, KY.

Joe Thomas Warren was born November 16, 1930 in LaRue County, KY. He was the son of the late Howard and Ruby Osborne Warren. He departed this life Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Greensburg, Green County, KY, having attained the age of eighty four years and one month.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a sawmill worker.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Despain Warren, and the following:
  • Two daughters and one son-in-law: JoAnn Warren of Campbellsville, KY; Sandra Kay and Elvis Dean Price of Greensburg, KY

  • Two sons and one daughter-in-law: Kirk and Denise Hammett of Glendale, KY; and James Allen Warren of Somerset, KY

  • One brother: Howard Warren, Jr. of Greensburg, KY

  • One sister: Lorene Noe of Hodgenville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Casandra Lynn Price, Kenneth Dean Price, Jordan Keith Wilson, Makala Hammett, Aryana Hammett and Hana Polly

  • And several nieces and nephews.
The family has requested donations be made to Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home for the funeral expenses.
