William Lee Rodgers, Jr., Casey County, KY (1943-2014)

He worked as a clerk at Roses and Sears and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Rodgers was a Navy veteran and a member of the New Life Tabernacle. He was the son of the late William Lee Rodgers, Sr. and Villa Jane Hendrickson Rodgers. He leaves one direct living descendent.

William Lee Rodgers, Jr. passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at his home in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was 71.

Gravesides services are 12:30pmCT/1:30pmET, Monday, December 15, 2014 at Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9044 W. Highway 80, Nancy, KY, with Bro. Bill Hill officiating. There will be no visitation.



William Lee Rodgers, Jr., Casey County, KY (1943-2014)

Born October 9, 1943 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late William Lee Rodgers, Sr. and Villa Jane Hendrickson Rodgers. He died Thursday, November 27, 2014, in Cincinnati, OH, at the age of 71 years, one month, and 18 days.

He worked as a clerk at Roses and Sears and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Rodgers was a Navy veteran and a member of the New Life Tabernacle.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Willie Lee Rodgers of Russell Springs, KU

  • Four sisters, Iva Lee True and Imo Jane Douglas, both of Casey County, KY; Georganna Kelso of Fayetteville, TN; and Johnnye Powers of Fairfield, Ohio

  • And a host of nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, J.Q. Rodgers and Fred Rodgers.
