LWC Women's Soccer faces Northwood in National semifinals Win this evening will give Blue Raiders berth in the National Championship Finals match By Matthew Stokes News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The sixth-seeded Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team takes on 15th-seeded Northwood (FL) at 2:30pmCT on Friday, December 5, 2014, at the Orange Beach Sportsplex, 4389 William Silvers Parkway, Orange Beach, AL 36561, as part of the NAIA National Championship Semifinals. The winner of today's match moves forward to the National Championship Finals match at 3pmCT on Saturday, December 6, 2014, against the winner of the noontime match between top-seeded Embry-Riddle (FL) and fifth-seeded Northwestern Ohio. The Blue Raiders (16-3-3) advanced through the National Championship Quarterfinals after topping third-seeded Cumberland (TN), 3-0, on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Before the quarterfinals, Lindsey Wilson bested unseeded Columbia (MO), 4-0, on Saturday, November 22, 2014, in the National Championship Opening Round, and then defeated 11th-seeded Mobile (AL), 5-1, on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, during the National Championship Second Round. Meanwhile, the Seahawks (17-5-2) moved on through the National Championship Quarterfinals via a 1-0 victory against 10th-seeded Martin Methodist (TN) on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Prior to that quarterfinal win, Northwood won in the National Championship Opening Round, 3-0, over unseeded Westminster (UT), and then shut out second-seeded William Carey (MS), 3-0, in the National Championship Second Round. The only previous meeting between these two programs came in the NAIA National Championship Second Round on Thursday, November 16, 2006.
