Willa Tunnell Lowery, 74, Hart Lane, Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, December 1, 2014, at 7:45amCT, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service will be at 3pmCT, Friday, December 5, 2014, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 North Main Street, Jamestown, KY with Bro. Billy Silverman officiating. Visitation will be after 12pm noon CT, Friday, at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen.



Willa Tunnell Lowery, 74, Russell County, KY (1940-2014)

She was born May 29, 1940, in Stover, Morgan County, MI. She was the daughter of the late Willis Monteer and Gertrude Whittle Monteer. She died Monday, December 1, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY,at the age of 74 years, six months, and 3 days.

She was a factory worker.

She is survived by the following:
  • A daughter: Carrie, wife of Jimmy Bell, Russell Springs, KY

  • A son: Richard, husband of Barbara Tunnell, Galt, MI

  • Three brothers: Everett Monteer and Earldean Monteer, both of Seldia, MI; and Larry Monteer, Trenton, MI

  • Two grandchildren

  • Two great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Harry E. Tunnell and Joe A. Lowery; a sister, Madline Lawson; and three brothers, Windred, Loren, and Milford Monteer.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 North Main Street, Jamestown, KY in charge of arrangements.
