Columbia Police find mobile meth lab in car early this morning

Arrest made at 4:42amCT in 800 block of Jamestown Street (between light and Hurt Street intersection. Finished meth product found, too, police allege.

Columbia Police Department arrest Russell County woman on methamphetamine charges after early morning stop.

This morning, Tuesday, 2 Dec 2014, at 4:42amCT, CPD Ofc. Josh Brockman an Sgt. Gary Roy stopped a 2011 Nissan Sentra in the 800 block of Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY.


Upon stop, the officers found there was probable cause to believe that illegal narcotics were in the vehicle and conducted a search of vehicle. Officers discovered a mobile methamphetamine lab in trunk of vehicle along with finished product, multiple components and equipment commonly used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamines.

21 year old Kaylea Bunch of Russell County, KY was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree and Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense.

Bunch was lodged in Adair County Regional Jail, Columbia, KY, by Ofc. Brockman. CPD Sgt. Tracy McCarol responded to location and disposed of lab.
