Mr. Garland Paxton, age 89, of Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at the Golden Living Center Green Hill in Greensburg, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Garland Paxton will be conducted at 10amCT, Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. There will be full military rites at the gravesite by the Marion County Honor Guaurd. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Monday and after 7amCT, Tuesday until time of the service at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home.

He was born December 11, 1924. He died in Greensburg, Green County, KYm November 29, 2014, at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 30 days.

.He is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Gloria Jean Dangerfield of Horse Cave, KY; and Sherlene & Jimmie Todd of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers and a sister-in-law: Russell Paxton, and Rex & Patsy Kay Paxton, all of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister & brother-in-law: Imogene & Willie Frank Parson of Greensburg, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Melinda Dangerfield of Cave City, KY; Karen Hardin of Indiana; Patrick Todd of Columbia, KY; and Kristen York & her husband, Steve of Columbia, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren: Gracie Todd, Reed Thorton, Jackson Todd, Megan York and Benton York.
Memorials are suggested to the Gideon Bible Fund and can be made at the funeral home.
