News from Adair County High School

On November 20 the Adair County High School hosted an induction ceremony for the 2014-2015 members of the National Honor Society. The ceremony started with Principal Troy Young welcoming families and guest of the inductees, during his opening remarks. Riley Grant, who is the current NHS President, introduced his fellow cabinet members and sponsors. The group then welcomed guest speaker Joanie Alexander, a new teacher at ACHS, who spoke about her memories as a member of NHS at Rockcastle County High School, her alma mater.

The highlight of the ceremony then proceeded. The new members names were read and they signed the NHS membership book. They were then given a certificate to commemorate the event. Of course, after the ceremony there were refreshments and a time for folks to mingle and give congratulations.
