Rickie Williams comments on Adair School Attendance Commends Maintenance Staff for 100% attendance. But says that faculty and staff should be setting example, 'The way I was raised is like this...you show up for work unless you are dead,' - RICKIE WILLIAMS By Rickie Williams Personal commentary I give my highest regards to the maintenance staff in the Adair County School System for their 100% attendance rate. And I can understand the attendance rate at the Youth Development Center for the students being higher than the faculty/staff. It is not like the students have a choice. This is a perfect case for which there is a captured audience rather than a captive audience...although hopefully those students are captive as well. But as for the rest of the school system, I do not understand. The faculty and staff ought to be setting an example for the students. Yet for the most part, the students have a higher attendance rate than do the faculty and staff. The way I was raised is like this . . . you show up for work unless you are dead. To any teacher reading this, whether in the public school system or in any other area of education, please consider these questions...
