Volleyball NAIA Championship Game at Biggers, Sat 22 Nov 2014 NAIA Volleyball Opening Round Pairings Announced, Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders host Xavier on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at 6:30pmCT, at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The No. 12-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball team hosts Xavier (La.) in a NAIA National Championship Opening Round matchup, the national office released on Monday, November 22, 2014, at 6:30pmCT on Saturday, November 22 at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. The Blue Raiders (32-3, 14-0 Mid-South Conference) qualified for the National Championship after receiving one of nine at-large selections. Lindsey Wilson just missed out on earning a bid directly into NAIA Pool Play in Sioux City, Iowa, as the top-11 ranked teams and host school Briar Cliff (Iowa) received the bye. The Blue Raiders are 1-1 all-time in NAIA Opening Round matches. Lindsey Wilson fell to Taylor (IN) during the 2011 season and defeated Grand View (Iowa) in 2012 to punch their ticket to pool play. Xavier (20-5, 14-0 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference) earned their postseason spot after winning the GCAC Tournament title. The Gold Nuggets make their fourth appearance in the NAIA National Tournament. Also qualifying for the NAIA National Championships from the Mid-South Conference is Georgetown (KY). The Tigers received an automatic bid after winning the MSC Tournament and face Point Park (PA).
