Lindsey Wilson Football ranked No. 6 in Final NAIA Top 25 Poll Blue Raiders are the highest ranked team from the Mid-South Conference. Campbellsville University is No. 17 in new rankings. By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson football is ranked No. 6 in the Final NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Sunday, November 16, 2014. The Blue Raiders (9-2, 6-0 MSC East) received 275 total voting points from the panel of national raters. The move up from No. 8 in last week's poll comes a day after Lindsey Wilson upset then-ranked No. 5 Georgetown (KY) at Blue Raider Stadium. The Blue Raiders won the Mid-South Conference East title and the automatic berth that goes with it into the NAIA Football Championship Series after holding off a comeback attempt by the Tigers, 35-28. Lindsey Wilson is the highest ranked team from the MSC in the poll. Georgetown fell to No. 10 while Faulkner (AL) sits at No. 11 and Campbellsville (KY) is No. 17. Carroll (M) is the top team in the poll with 339 points and 13 first-place votes. Grand View (Iowa) is second with 328 points and the final two first-place votes. Saint Xavier (IL) is third with 309 points. Former No. 1 Morningside (Iowa) fell to No. 4 after suffering their first loss of the season on Saturday. Missouri Valley rounds out the top five with 279 points. The Blue Raiders now await their pairing in the NAIA Football Championship Series.
