Click on headline for complete story COLUMBIA, Ky. – Yeniffer Ramirez is the Mid-South Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference office released on Monday, 10 Nov 2014. It marks the third time this season Ramirez has received the honor, the most times in the conference this year. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native opened with a double-double in the Blue Raiders’ sweep of Cumberlands (KY). Ramirez finished with 19 kills and 11 digs in the win that clinched the outright regular season title for the Blue Raiders. In Lindsey Wilson’s regular season finale, the sophomore outside hitter tied a single-match program record with 35 kills in a 3-1 win over St. Catharine (KY). She posted a .500 attacking percentage in the win while adding seven digs and two blocks. Ramirez completed the week averaging 7.7 kills per set while amassing a .495 attacking percentage. She helped the No. 9-ranked Blue Raiders win their 26th-straight match, including going 14-0 in the MSC. Ramirez is averaging 4.7 kills per set this season while posting a .287 attacking percentage.
