She leaves seven direct and two step living descendants. She was a homemaker and a member of Rockhouse Christian Church.

Dimple Jane Gilbert, 88, of Jamestown, died Monday October 27, 2014 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral service for Dimple Jane Gilbert will be 10amCT, Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bill Welker and Bro. Eric Gilbert officiating. Visitation after 5pmCT, Wednesday. Burial will be in the Rexroat Cemetery.

She was born August 5, 1926 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the to the late Adolphus F, & Allie Spencer Andrew. She died Monday, October 27, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 88 years, two months, and 22 days. She was a homemaker and a member of Rockhouse Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Carl Gilbert; a daughter, Betty Gilbert and five brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three children: Donnie (Sharon) Gilbert, Jamestown, KY; Michael Dwain (Shelia) Gilbert, Jamestown, KY; and Anna Paulette (James Daryl) Campbell, Jamestown, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Eric Gilbert, Lindsay Taylor, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two great grandchildren

  • One step great grandchild

  • One brother: Tom Andrew, Columbia, KY
