LWC Women's Golf set to compete in NAIA Preview Tournament

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team travels to Pooler, Georgia, to compete in the NAIA Preview Tournament on Monday and Tuesday hosted by SCAD-Atlanta (GA).



The two-day event features nine other teams including Dalton State (GA), Grand View (Iowa), Embry-Riddle (FL), Northwood (FL), Indiana Tech, Bellevue (NE), Brenau (GA), Johnson & Wales (FL) and Wayland Baptist (TX).

Bellevue, Northwood and Indiana Tech all placed in the top-10 at the NAIA National Championship last season at Wilderness Ridge in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bellevue finished third, while Northwood and Indiana Tech placed eighth and ninth, respectively.

The Blue Raiders are coming off a third-place finish at the Fall Mid-South Conference Tournament on Oct. 13 and 14, in which they carded a two-day 674. Cristina Jimenez led the team with a 12-over par 156 to place in a tie for second.

Jimenez's two-round score of 156 was one stroke behind individual champion Rachel Pingleton's score of 11-over par 155 from Cumberlands (KY). - from Lindsey Wilson College
