Wrestling ranked No. 9 in NAIA Preseason Coaches' Top 20 Poll By Tyler Scott News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson wrestling team is ranked ninth in the Preseason NAIA Coaches' Top-20 poll, which was released by NAIA officials on Wednesday, 22 Oct 2014. The Blue Raiders are receiving 51.5 total team points, and are only 1.5 points behind eighth-ranked Indiana Tech (53). Grand View (Iowa) is ranked first with 154.5 total team points after winning the national championship last season. Southern Oregon is ranked second with 101.5 points and Great Falls (Mont.) sits in third with 86 team points. Joe Cozart leads the Blue Raiders ranked first in the 157-pound weight class receiving 80 points. Cozart is coming off a stellar 2013 season in which he won the NAIA national championship at 157 pounds. Daniel Leonard is tied for 16th in the 141-pound weight class receiving one point. In the 149-pound weight class, Isaac Thomas is ranked sixth with 37 points and Paul Longshore sits in 14th with 7.5 points. In the 165-pound weight class, Mitchell Judkins is ranked tenth with 22 points. Aaron Back is ranked 15th and receiving eight points in the 174-pound weight class. Erick Gomez sits in fifth with 49 points in the 184-pound weight class. Jake Maupin rounds out the squad ranked 16th with 3.5 points in the 197-pound weight class.
