Election 04 Nov 2014: Writer has questions for jailer candidates

Mostly related to inmate treatment. Opinions stated within questions aare those of the writer. Comments welcome.

By Marcia Shuffett
Personal commentary; opinions those of writer

If elected for Jailer, what changes will be made as to how the inmates are treated and the seemingly great discrepancy made between the male and female inmates. ( Such as, do only the males get out of their cells to cook the meals and wash the clothes (theirs and that of the women) and get to go outdoors to tend the garden.)

Will changes be made with the food (maybe provide a little seasoning. I heard of most meals being referred to as "Roast Butt"). Do you think an inmate who smokes should, at least, have the opportunity to have a smoking cessation method available to them to purchase or do they have to go "cold turkey" even knowing that would only happen to those that are not one of the chosen few? These are just a few questions on the top of my mind. I would like answers from the opponent as well if possible. Sincerely, Marcia --Marcia Shuffett
