Ralph Waggener: Smartest cows on earth are right here

Columbia's winning advantage in 1950s - : ' farm work ethic and big city ways here in Columbia' writer says.

Ralph Waggener writes
To John Halsey: The smartest cows on earth are raised in the country on farms, just as young children who learned how to work on the farm are the smartest. Smart children, smart cows. Used cows for sale is only a Adair County product as far as I know. I was raised in Columbia but my neighbor Ralph Willis raised cows on his 1 1/2 acre farm here in the city as did John Lowe, who had more acres just below our house on Jamestown Street and Lindsey Wilson College had a big farm not far behind our house. So, wee had the advantage of farm work ethic and big city ways here in Columbia. Just adding a little info for you, Ralph Roy Waggener as all ways outoforder. - Ralph Waggener
