Green Co. Sheriff Robbie Beard asks for help locating two men

By Larry Smith, FM 99.9, the Big Dawg

Green County, KY, Sheriff Robbie Beard is asking for help locating two people of interest reported to be driving a champagne colored van going door to door.

The men are ostensibly selling five-gallon pails of detergent, allegedly in an attempt to gain entrance to residences.

According to Sheriff Beard, the men, once inside a home, work as a team, with one distracting the resident with a sales pitch while the other takes items from the house. Sheriff Beard said it is believed that the two may be working a larger area, which may include Green County neighbors, Adair, Hart, LaRue, Metcalfe, and Taylor Counties. Anyone with information should contact the Greensburg Dispatch at 270-932-4911 or simply 911. Larry Smith, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications
