COLUMBIA, KY - The ninth-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team travels to Williamsburg, Kentucky, to play against Cumberlands (KY) Saturday at 3pmCT/4pmCT.



The Blue Raiders are coming off a 2-0 victory over St. Catharine (KY). Caio Da Cruz headed a ball into the net off a corner kick from Aleksi Pahkasalo in the 54th minute. Pahkasalo scored a goal of his own to give the Blue Raiders a 2-0 lead in the 81st minute as he drilled a ball into the net off goalkeeper CJ Powell's fingertips.

Lindsey Wilson (6-2-1, 2-0-1 MSC) is 28-0-2 all-time against Cumberlands (4-5-0, 2-1-0 MSC).

Lindsey Wilson is ranked ninth in the NAIA with five total shutouts and Pahkasalo leads the team with 14 total points. Adis Islamovic is second on the team with six points, while goalkeeper Dalyan Hawes has been stout totaling 26 saves in nine matches.

The Blue Raiders defeated the Patriots 7-1 in the last meeting between the two teams on October 4, 2013. Tom Moody and Xavier Baumgart each scored two goals, while Yazeed Davids, Renan Serafim and Trae Wells each scored one goal for the squad. - TYLER SCOTT
