LWC Volleyball hosts Cumberlands Tues, 23 Sep 2014 at Biggers

COLUMBIA, KY - The 22nd-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball team hosts the University of the Cumberlands (KY) tonight, Tuesday, 23 Sep 2014 at 6pmCT at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spikard Drive, Columbia, KY.



The Blue Raiders are coming off a 3-1 (25-19, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21) victory over 12th-ranked Georgetown (KY). Yennifer Ramirez had a season-high 19 kills, while Makenzie Montano had a season-best 45 assists.

Lindsey Wilson (14-2, 3-0 MSC) has won the last seven matches over conference foe Cumberlands (12-5, 2-2 MSC). The last loss for the Blue Raiders came on Sept. 21, 2010 falling 3-0 (21-25, 17-25, 18-25) in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Lindsey Wilson swept the Patriots 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-17) in their most recent meeting on November 7, 2013. Kailey Moorhead led the team with 12 kills and Emily Meeks added 10.

Nadelina Nesheva leads Lindsey Wilson with 134 kills, while Montano has a team-leading 457 assists and Kirsten King has 159 digs.

The Patriots are coming off back-to-back victories over Midway (KY) 3-2 and Brescia (KY) 3-0. Jennifer Philpot has a team-leading 170 kills and Samantha Stuckwisch has a team-high 476 assists. Sydney Beck also leads the team with 211 digs.
