Sad word of the passing of Capt. Tony Grider

From Larry Smith

We have received the sad word of the passing of Capt. Tony Grider, of the Campbellsville Fire Department. Capt. Grider died in Louisville, KY, of injuries suffered in Campbellsville, KY, on August 21, 2014. Capt. Grider, a resident of Columbia, KY, was a native of Adair County.

Firemen from the Columbia/Adair County Fire Department are on their way to Louisville to bring the fallen hero home. The procession, according to Campbellsville Mayor Tony Young, will form sometime this Saturday afternoon, and will come South on 1-65 through Shepherdsville and Elizabethtown, then on the Lincoln Parkway to Hodgenville, then down Ky 210 to Campbellsville and then South on KY 55, home to Adair County.

Mayor Young said that it is hoped that those who wish to show respect to Capt. Grider would line KY 210 and KY 55 from Hodgenville to Columbia. I will have a more definite time later today. With truly great sorrow, Larry Smith, FM 99.9 and FM 92.7 radio.
