Next earlier story: Ann says meeting Today, 18 Sep 14 to tackle road money issues

By Ed Waggener

Judge Ann Melton, in a call after a meeting this afternoon with Adair County Magistrates Sammy Baker (District 3) and Joe Rogers (District 6), and Rep. Bam Carney (KY 51, Taylor-Adair Counties) of Campbellsville, KY said that an agreement was not reached in the meeting. "It was cordial," she, "and we decided that we would convene the the court in a special meeting for all the magistrates to have input."

Judge Melton said that the entire distribution of the funds is on the table, including the three the roads Rep. Carney had included which actually met Kentucky Rural Roads guidelines, but even these will now have to be approved by all the magistrates.

The special meeting will be Friday, September 26, 2014, at 4pmCT, in the Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. The meeting will be open to the public, but members of the audience will be allowed to speak only if called upon by the court. Judge Melton said that Rep. Carney had indicated that he will attend this meeting, too.
