We cordially invite you to be part of the 2nd annual Career Fair at Adair County High School, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY, 9am-11amCT, Friday, September 26, 2014. Your willingness to be a mentor to Adair County High School students is appreciated. We value this opportunity come together to connect our kids with the community and expose them to the wide variety of jobs that are available in the area.

We ask that participants bring along any relevant information or tools of the trade that you can share with the students on that day. We would like to stress a theme of seizing opportunity! As you talk with the students during the fair please share your training experiences as well as the ups and downs that you have experienced to get to where you are today. They need to know that you don't start out at the top.

Tables will be provided for you along with a sign showing your name and job title. You may want to bring your own table cloth. Set up will begin at 8:30amCT. Last year some participants asked to bring candy, pens, pencils, gum, etc... to pass out to students and you are welcome to do so if you would like.

This event will wrap-up a series of events for College and Career Awareness Week, September 22-26, 2014, at ACHS.

We are working on various activities for each day of the week to increase student knowledge of possible career paths and soft skills required in the job world.

Students will also be exposed to a variety of presentations to expand their knowledge of different post-secondary educational experiences as well as information on service and volunteering.
