He was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Benjamin Harrison a & Nettie McGaha Edmonds. His wife, Earlene harmon Edmonds, survives. He leaves 34 direct living descendants. He was a farmer

Edwin Edmonds, 94, of Russell Springs, died Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services for Edwin Edmonds will be 1pmCT, Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Richie Curtis officiating. Friends may call after 11amCT, Thursday. Burial in the Hugh Frank Cemetery.



Pallbearers: John Edmonds, James Edmonds, Joseph Edmonds, Jason Edmonds, Eric Edmonds, and Roger Harmon.

He was born September 17, 1919 in Russell County to the late Benjamin Harrison & Nettie McGaha Edmonds. He died Monday, September 15, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 94 years, 11 months, and 29 days.

He was a farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Olas, Earl, Morris, & Jimmy Edmonds; three sisters, Bonnie Huckaby, Jean Palumbo, and Opal Carta. Survivors include his wife, Earlene Harmon Edmonds and the following:
  • Four children: Jimmy Edmonds, Jerry Edmonds, Isaac Benjamin Edmonds, all of Russell Springs, KY; and Lisa Costello, Florida

  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • Sixteen great grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Cathy Carlton, and Betty Loveless, both of Russell Springs Send a condolence to the family of Edwin Edmonds
