Ralph Waggener: We need more jobs for working class, too

Personal Commentary

By Ralph R Waggener
Responding to Ben Arnold's Let's expect our youth to run, not crawl

Ben, I would challenge you to work to bring high paying jobs to Columbia/Adair County. You have the smarts to do this.

What I'm saying is that we have more people who need jobs here who can't qualify for the $100+ thousand per jobs then those few who are.

We need to look at jobs for the working class people who are not going to reach top paying jobs, just as we need to look for jobs for the Adair Counties qualified applicants.

Greater population has not maade leap to Ben Arnold's level

The greater population of Adair has not yet made this leap to your level.

The majority of high paying jobs in Adair are government jobs now.

You are one of the few people capable of bringing these high paying jobs, thats your challenge from me.

Adair County in position to take any kinds of jobs

Adair County is in a position to take any kinds of jobs which will locate here.

You might need to take another look at just how many jobs are in this area and even Louisville which pay $10.00 per hour.

There are more jobs in this pay scale than your pay scale and more people qualified for them than with advanced degrees.

Education is a good thing as long as you have enough sense to use it!

Still your good friend Ralph R Waggener
