Comment on the proposed Columbia payroll tax Of course opinions from everyone affected by the proposed new tax are welcome, whether they are residents or not. But it does need to be pointed out: Comment about: Columbia City Council Sept. 2, 2014 meeting report It's one person, one registered voter who lives in the jurisdiction = One VoteWant to have a real say in Columbia's city government: Live in the Columbia. Vote in the Columbia. But if you are are not a resident, but will be taxed, your voice is heard in your influence with your customers, patients, and clients AND through your family members and acquaintances who are voters registered in Columbia who do have a vote, and therefore, more influence with the local legislative body. That's my opinion by one registered voter, who believes a lot of problems are solved by living over the store., whether the business in the city or not. - ED WAGGENER This story was posted on 2014-09-04 03:37:15
