James Douglas (JD) Barlow, Sr., Summer Shade, KY (1936-2014) He was the patriarch of a large, respected Metcalfe County family. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. He was the son of the late Otis Ben and Nettie Norene Buckner Barlow. He leaves 22 direct living descendants. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at 12pmCT, at the Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church, with Reverend Ronnie Charles Fishback, officiating, with burial to follow in the Trinity Lane Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday, September 1, 2014 at 7pmCT until 9pmCT at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, and after 10amCT, on Monday at the church. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by the following:
