Mary Ann Brown, comments on concrete pillars

Proposes art and information paintings on the pillars

By Mary Ann Brown
Personal commentary

Is there any reason why the concrete pillars that are setting around Columbia, can't they have a scenery painted on them that depicts locations or etc. about Columbia.

I bet there would be an artist in Adair County that would be willing to paint scenes on the post. Could be Lindsey Wilson College, a particular business logo, Holmes Bend Marina, Adair is full of things that could be painted on this things.

That would add interest to the town and promote others to observe them, maybe a business could advertise from one, maybe even pay a rental fee per year, to advertise.

Could promote the school system. Just thinking out loud. Some see garbage others see beautiful coming from these pillars.
