Ralph Wayne Holt, Russell County, KY (1937-2014)

He was a retired millworker. He was a member of the Word Church of God in Russell Springs. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed being with children, and loved and adored his two dogs, Bear and Lightning. He was a native of Casey County, where he will be laid to rest, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Woodrow and Della Lawhorn Holt. He leaves 18 direct living descendants.

Ralph Wayne Holt, 77, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Saturday, August 16, 2014, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Herl Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the South Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10amCT/11amET, until time of services on Saturday.



Ralph Wayne Holt, Russell County, KY (1937-2014)

Born Thursday, June 17, 1937, in Casey Co., KY, he was a son of the late Woodrow and Della Lawhorn Holt. He died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 77 years, one month, and 25 days.

Wayne, as known by most, was a retired millworker. He was a member of the Word Church of God in Russell Springs. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed being with children, and loved and adored his two dogs, Bear and Lightning. Survivors include the following:
  • His daughters: Glenda (husband, Bob) Shepherd of Franklin, OH, and Sandra (husband, Pete) Tritt of Cincinnati, OH

  • Brothers: Donnie (wife, Beverly) Holt and Gary Holt, both of Cincinnati, OH

  • Sisters: Wanda (husband, Howard) Estes of Somerset, KY; and Shirley Godbey of Cincinnati, OH

  • Seven granddaughters

  • Nine great-grandchildren

  • And a host of nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty Sue Estes Holt; second wife, Patricia Fay Cain Smith Holt; brothers, Larry and Cliff Holt: and a great grandson, Michael Tritt.
