Karla Fay Mars Burton, 34 years of age, of Green County, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY.

The funeral services for Karla Fay Mars Burton will be conducted at 1pmCT, Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Twyman Davis will be officiating. Visitation is requested 4pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Wednesday until time of the funeral service.




Pallbearers: William Babb, David McKinney, Todd Brown, Adam Rainwater Aaron Rainwater, and Michael Hessig.

She was a self-employed cosmetologist. Survivors include the following:

  • Her mother and step-father: Juanita Louise Burns McKinney and David McKinney of Greensburg, KY

  • Two children: Tyler Dean Burton, and Kaleb Joseph Bowers both of Greensburg, KY

  • Grandmothers: Laveria Brandenburg, and Lucille Mars both of Greensburg, KY

  • Twin sister: Darla Kay Brown and her husband Todd of Magnolia, KY

  • Half-sister: Donna Jean Davis of Scottsville, KY

  • Step-sister: Cathy Cross and her husband Josh of Columbia, KY

  • Step-brother: Terry Lee Bishop of Summersville, KY

  • A special friend: William Babb of Greensburg, KY

  • A niece and nephew: Lilly Brown and Kevin Brown of Magnolia, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
