Mary F. Meloney, Casey County, KY (1925-2014)

She was a medical transcriptionist and member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mary's hobbies were oil painting, crafts, collecting and selling antiques and writing. Mary lived in several foreign countries during her life including: Bolivia, South America, Honduras, Central America and Pakistan. She was a native of Pennsylvania. She leaves six direct living descendants. She will be laid to rest in her adopted Casey County at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in Clementsville, KY

Mary F. Meloney, passed away Thursday August 7, 2014 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was 89.

Funeral mass is 1pmCT/2pmET, Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 21 S Wallace Wilkinson Boulevard, Liberty, KY,, with Father Saji Thengumkudiyil officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, at St. Bernard Cemetery, by St. Bernard Church, 5075 KY 551, Liberty, KY (Clementsville). There will be no visitation.

Born Monday, January 26, 1925 in West Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank D. and Ethyl Marie Crane Meloney. She died Thursday, August 7, 2014, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 89 years, sox months, and 12 days.

She was a medical transcriptionist and member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mary's hobbies were oil painting, crafts, collecting and selling antiques and writing. Mary lived in several foreign countries during her life including: Bolivia, South America, Honduras, Central America and Pakistan.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: John (and Sime) Gross of Kaneohe, Hawaii

  • A daughter: Patricia (and Bruce) Parks of Liberty, KY

  • Two grandchildren

  • And two great-grandchildren
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
