She was the daughter of the late Arlin and Clara Brumett Guffey, and the widow of the late James Henry Kimbler. She was the matriarch of a large, respected family. She leaves 11 direct living descendants. She was a member of Fairview Separate Baptist Church and a house wife.

Eva Mae Kimbler age 85 years of Jamestown, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 2:35amET, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Avery Russell the officiating clergy. Interment in Hadley Cemetery in Russell County, KY. Visitation is after 10amCT, Friday, August 8, 2014.



Eva Mae Kimbler, 85, Russell County, KY (1928-2014)

She was born on Wednesday, December 31, 1928 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Arlin and Clara Brumett Guffey of Russell County. She died Wednesday, August 6, 2014, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 85 years, seven months, and 6 days.

She was the widow of the late the widow of the late James Henry Kimbler.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Franzel (Ilene) Kimbler of Jamestown, KY, and Kenny Dale (Katha) Kimbler of Jamestown, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Rhonda Kimbler, Rosalie (Philanie) Poland, Allan Dale (Ashley) Kimbler, and Matthew (Felicia) Kimber

  • Five great grandchildren: Bryson Godby, Brayden Kimbler, Benton Kimbler, Parker Kimbler, and Peyton Sumner

  • Host of other relatives and friends survive
She was a member of Fairview Separate Baptist Church and a house wife.

Expression of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Hadley Cemetery & may be made at the funeral home.
