Casey County pursuit leads to arrest of Russell Co., KY man During chase, driver collides with one KSP cruiser and three Casey County Sheriff's Office cruisers. Chase comes to halt after Stinger deployment flattens tow tires on fleeing vehicle, allowing law enforcement vehicles to surround vehicle. Police believe driver fled because of outstanding warrants and suspended license. Click on headline for complete story By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Information Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY LIBERTY, KY 33-year-old Brandon C. Roy has been arrested on multiple charges following a pursuit today in Casey County. Casey County Deputies initiated a pursuit today just after 2pmET. Troopers from Post 15 assisted in the pursuit that came to an end at approximately 2:32pmET following a Stinger deployment by Tpr. John Boyd. Two of Roy's tires were deflated on the 1992 Dodge Spirit allowing unit to surround the vehicle and bring it to a stop. During the pursuit, Roy collided with 1 State Police Cruiser and 3 Casey County Sheriff's Department Cruisers. No one was injured as a result of the collisions. Roy was arrested at the scene and charged with 2 counts of Wanton Endangerment, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree and Resisting Arrest. Additional charges from the Casey County Sheriff's Department are pending. Roy was lodged in the Casey County Jail. Investigators believe that Roy fled due to outstanding warrants and a suspended license. Tpr. Kevin Roberts, Tpr. Justin Phillips and Arson Investigator Alex Wesley were also involved in the pursuit along with multiple units from the Casey County Sheriff's Department. This story was posted on 2014-07-22 17:14:35
