Campbellsville, KY, man tasered, arrested after knife incident Larry Tungate, 45, faces multiple charges. Officers use Taser after, Tungate allegedly threatening officers, brandishing a knife. Investigation of the incident continues From Campbellsville, KY, Police Department The Campbellsville Police Department responded to a call for assistance on Sunday July 13, 2014 at 1:40amET from Constable James Gaddis at Elmhurst Plaza. Gaddis had made contact with a white male who had been walking in the westbound lanes of Broadway. Ofc. Dexter Colvin arrived at the scene and observed Gaddis in a physical confrontation with the white male. The white male began walking away from the officers and had obtained a knife from his person and began threatening the officers brandishing the knife. Upon subject being non-compliant with verbal commands, Ofc. Colvin deployed his taser. After the positive deployment of the taser officers were able to unarm and gain control of the individual without further incident. The subject was identified as Larry Tungate (white male, age 45) of Campbellsville, KY, Tungate was arrested and charged with the following charges: Menacing, Fleeing and Evading on Foot 1st, Wanton Endangerment 1st degree, Assault 3rd degree, Terroristic Threatening 3rd degree, and Resisting Arrest.
