Mutiple vehicle crash closes US 31-W near Franklin, KY

FRANKLIN, KY - Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green CVE Division is investigating a multiple vehicle collision that occurred on US-31W near the 11 mile point. The crash occurred around 07:30amCT, Thursday morning, July 3, 2014, when a white pick up truck attempted a left turn into the path of loaded asphalt truck.

The pick up truck then struck a parked vehicle and the asphalt truck overturned after striking another parked vehicle. The driver of the asphalt truck was transported to the Bowling Green Medical Center with serious but non life threatening injuries and the pick up truck driver was transported to Greenview Hospital for evaluation. US31W re-opened around 11amCT.. The crash is being investigated by CVE Officer Roy Murley. Kentucky State Police were assisted by Simpson Fire/EMS.
