Mrs. Parthenia Paxton Humphrey, Green Co., KY (1936-2014)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Presbyterian Church. She was Executive Vice President at Lincoln Federal Savings and Loan. She was the daughter of the late marshall Cleo Beard Paxton, and the widow of John Humphrey.

Mrs. Parthenia Paxton Humphrey departed this life Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill Manor, Greensburg, KY.

Funeral services will be at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, at 1pmCT, Wednesday, July 2, 2014 with Rev. Charles Taylor the officiating clergy. Visitation will be after 8amCT, Wednesday. Interment will be in the Greensburg Cemetery, N Main Street, Greensburg, KY.



Pallbearers: Sean Curry, Larry Mills, Eugene Coffey, Willard Coffey, Bill Kelly, and Tom Kelly.

Mrs. Parthenia Paxton Humphrey was born Tuesday, September 29, 1936 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Marshall and Cleo Beard Paxton. She departed this life Monday, June 30, 2014 in Greensburg, Green County, KY, having attained the age of 75 years, nine months and one day.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Presbyterian Church. She was Executive Vice President at Lincoln Federal Savings and Loan.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Humphrey, and one brother, Steward Paxton.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her sister-in-law: Carolyn Paxton of Greensburg, KY

  • One aunt: Margie Whitlock of Greensburg, KY

  • And special friends: Nancy Mills and Cora Young
The family has requested that donations be made to the Greensburg Presbyterian Church. These can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
