Elizabethtown man airlifted following ATV-deer collision

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY - Kentucky State Police Post 4 is investigating a single vehicle ATV accident that ocurred on Springfield Rd. just east of Elizabethtown in Hardin Co.

On Monday June 30, 2014 at approximately 12:34amET, David B. Taylor (20) of Elizabethtown was operating his 2009 Honda Rubicon eastbound when he struck a deer that crossed the roadway.



The collision caused the victim to lose control of the ATV resulting in the operator being ejected and the vehicle overturning in the ditch on the north side of the roadway.

The victim was airlifted by AirMethods to University of Louisville Hospital. The accident is still under investigation by KSP Trooper Josh Cummings. KSP was assisted on the scene by the Elizabethtown Police Dept, Hardin Co. EMS, and the Valley Creek Fire Department. - TPR JEFF GREGORY.
