He was a member of a large, highley regarded Adair County, KY, family. He was the son of the late Harold Reece & Sarah Helen Thomas Harvey. He is survived by 4 direct living descendants. He was a former businessman, operating a towing business, an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast and an avid NASCAR fan.

Harold Mitchum "Mitch" Harvey, age 71, of Smiths Grove, Kentucky, formerly of Columbia, KY died Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 8:20pmCT, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral service will be Friday, June 20, 2014 at 2pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Thursday, June 19, 2014. At Mitch's request, cremation has been chosen for final disposition.

He was born Tuesday, October 13, 1942, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Harold Reece & Sarah Helen Thomas Harvey. He died Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 71 years, 8 months, and 4 days.

He was a former businessman, operating a towing business, an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast and an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include:
  • His former wife: Nancy Harvey of Stuart, Florida

  • Two daughters: Keirsten Jaggers of Smiths Grove, Leah (Travis) Conklin of Bowling Green, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Jared Madison of Boston, MA, Vivien Conklin of Bowling Green, KY

  • Three sisters: Diane (Phillip) Burris of Tuscola, IL, Wanda Watson and Elaine Thomas both of Louisville, KY

  • Several other relatives & friends also survive
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daryl and Tony Harvey Send a condolence to the family of Harold "Mitch" Harvey
