Vicki Black, age 65, of Yosemite, KY passed away on Thursday June 5, 2014 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 10amCT/11amET, Monday June 9, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will be in the Casey County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, on Sunday June 8, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.



Vicki Black, Casey County, KY (1948-2014)

She was born in Hamilton, OH on July 20, 1948 to Vivian Coleman Black of Yosemite and the late Lyman Black. She died Thurday, June 5, 2014, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 65 years, 10 months, and 16 days.

She was a farmer.

Additional survivors include, in addition to her mother:
  • Two sons: Gregg Short of Yosemite, KY; and Chad Short of Russell Springs, KY

  • One daughter: Rebecca Short of Yosemite, KY

  • Nine grandchildren: Four great-grandchildren

  • and one sister: Mona Short of Muncie, IN
Preceding her in death besides her father was one sister: Donna Johnson and two brothers: Wayne and Mike Black.
