Trampe and Hood of LWC named NAIA Softball All-Americans Amanda Trampe earned First Team honors while Jordan Hood was selected to the Second Team By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson juniors Amanda Trampe and Jordan Hood earned NAIA Softball All-America honors, the national office announced on Friday. Trampe is a First Team All-American selection while Hood earned Second Team honors. It marks the first time in program history that a Blue Raider has been named a First Team selection. Trampe, a native of St. Louis, M), led the Blue Raiders this season in batting average, home runs, runs batted in and slugging percentage. Her 75 total RBIs were the most in the NAIA and her 17 home runs were the fourth most. She also tallied 14 doubles and 74 hits on the year. Trampe recorded a hit in 43 of 61 games this season, including 25 games with two or more hits. Hood a Locust Fork, AL, native, finished the season with a 26-3 record and 1.85 earned run average in the circle. She threw 20 complete games on the year with 12 shutouts. Hood recorded 210 strikeouts in 189.0 innings pitched. Her 26 pitching wins were the third most in the NAIA. She also finished the season with a .346 batting average including 23 RBIs and seven home runs. Hood posted a combined 5-1 record in the circle in the NAIA Opening Round Lindsey Wilson Bracket and at the NAIA World Series. This marks the fifth-consecutive season a member of the Blue Raider softball program has earned All-America honors. Trampe and Hood join Anyibell Ramirez and Ally Goinea (2010), Morgan Paschall and Ramirez (2011), Cara Law (2012) and Kristina Krupinski (2013). The duo helped Lindsey Wilson to a 50-11 record in 2014, tied for the most wins in program history.
