Columbia Police make meth arrest following traffic stop

Columbia Police Department arrest Columbia man on Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine after traffic stop, near Columbia Post Office, in 800 block of Burkesville Street

On Friday, May 16, 2014, at 10:37pmCT, Officer Josh Brockman observed a vehicle heading north on Burkesville street operating in an unsafe manner.



A traffic stop was initiated around the 800 block of Burkesville street. During contact with operator it was observed that there were several components in the vehicle that were commonly used for the manufacturing of methamphetamine further investigation resulted in methamphetamine being located inside the vehicle with several additional components to produce the illegal narcotic.

Arrested was 32 year old Logan Turner of Columbia, KY, on charges of Careless Driving, Failure to Signal, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Turner was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. Ofc. Brockman was assisted by Adair County Deputy Aaron Rainwater and Ofc. Johnny Dial. - Ofc.
