From Chris Jessie, Public Information Officer
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 4, Elizabethtown, KY

Louisville, KY (April 10, 2014) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists of a pavement patching operation today in Bullitt County. Contract crews will be working this afternoon on northbound Interstate 65 between mile points 119 and 121. They will be making temporary repairs to areas where the concrete slabs have settled and result in an uneven driving surface.

KYTC maintenance crews will be providing traffic control for this work. The right lane of northbound I-65 is scheduled for closure today, Thursday, April 10, from noon until 2pmCT/3pmET.

Later this summer, the concrete pavement in this area will be removed and replaced as part of a $20.7 million construction project currently underway. The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Dial 511 for the latest in traffic and travel information in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
